About

The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek (DOR) is one of seven catholic Dioceses in the Republic of South Sudan.

It is located in the very heart of the country, covering the whole territory of Lakes State and the southern part of Warrap State – a territory of around 65.000 km2 (larger than Switzerland). Its population can be estimated to 1.5 million people, of which around 150.000 are Catholics, although reliable statistics are not available.
